Lucy Gray

Lucy Gray has a BA in Fine Art Sculpture from the Central School of Art and Design (now Central St. Martins) in London.

Her practice explores self and its connection with the landscape. She says, "In my work I translate an idea through natural forms, capturing the tipping point, the metamorphosis."

For years after graduating, Gray worked as a furniture restorer garnering skills in lacquering and gilding. Subsequently, this mastery remains an important part of her art practice, manifested in her use of gold, silver and other metal leaf.
